Manningtree, New Jersey is a little town on the brink of extinction. The 19th Century storefronts of Old Town are being threatened of being replaced with a massive mall/luxury condo complex that will replace a dozen mom & pop businesses, if anyone refuses to sell, the developers are prepared to use eminent domain law to pry the Old Towner's off their property.
The town's mayor has great interest in approving the development whatever it takes, but the obstacle is stubborn Scottish-born Lizzie Munro.
